Knacyntar Nedd born in Codrington, Barbuda to Knackbill Nedd and Cynthia Desouza Beazer on the 2nd July 1989.
Living by the Biblical Verse “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalms 27:1), Knacyntar Nedd is an impressive young woman who has always had a passion to serve and epitome of a next generation leader, a leader who is ready to take Barbuda to the next level.
Knacyntar Nedd a young vibrant woman of the soil, continues to dedicate her life to service, specifically that of lifting up the lives of Barbudans through representation which yields opportunity and upward mobility.
The ABLP has played an integral role in the rebuilding of Barbuda after Hurricane Irma. The party has helped young persons access scholarships, provided the Prime Minister’s EDF programme, made accessing drivers’ licenses available on island and provided assistance to schools and the hospital during the COVID pandemic. The ABLP built the new airport, completed the PLH project, developed the APUA green energy plant, built the Barbuda Bell Hotel and is about to commence work on the new port project.
Ms Nedd has fresh energy and big ideas for Barbuda. She wants to help establish a Barbuda Affairs Office, improve the road network, improve the water situation, build a skill development center, develop a special education program and give greater focus on building capacity of the people.
Ms. Nedd earned a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship rom at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus. Ms Nedd has had great experiences in managining the affairs of others as she worked at her fathers Building supply and Barge business during holidays while attending school, she also worked as a store manager at Digicel Barbuda for a number of years.
Ms Nedd is a proud wife to Julio Charles and they have a beautiful daughter. Ms Nedd is a member of the Barbuda Pentecostal Church.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading non-fictional novels, shopping online, cooking local dishes going to the beach to collect shells or taking Nature walks in the “woods” of Barbuda. Above all else her most favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family.
